Museum Lecture Tuesday 19th September: Jane Austen’s Purse – A History in Coins from the Restoration to the Great Recoinage of 1817 by David Brandreth

Our Lecture Series  re-starts in September with: Jane Austen’s Purse – A History in Coins from the Restoration to the Great Recoinage of 1817 by David Brandreth.

Jane Austen is a convenient figure to use for this lecture as she died in 1817. However, this talk goes way beyond Jane Austin and explores history through coins from the Restoration to the great recoinage of 1817. We hope you are able to join us for what is sure to be a fascinating talk.

Doors open at 11.45 pm entry for -12 pm start. £3 entry payable at the door.
