This is the first of our evening winter lectures, we hope you can join us for what will be a fascinating talk by Ian Mortimer.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries. He has been described by The Times as ‘the most remarkable medieval historian of our time’. He strives to make history engaging and meaningful for a wide audience, bridging the gap between academic research and the general public. He lives on the edge of Dartmoor, in Devon.

The Topsham Museum building on Strand is currently undergoing extensive renovation work. In the meantime we have an extensive programme of exciting, ‘off site’ events and activities, including the lectures at Matthews Hall.
