The aim of our museum is to record the history of Topsham and the Exe Estuary so we continue to collect today to create memories for the future.
To that end we hold a collection of photographs, memorabilia, masks and other objects from the Covid period, and we hold details of housing developments closing the ‘Green Gap’ that once separated Topsham from Exeter.
Recent publications about the town also form part of our extensive library.
We hold many family trees for local families along with information covering the social history of the community including its numerous clubs and societies.
Importantly, our photograph collection records both daily life and special events held in the town: our work as a museum continues, chronicling the present and future as well as the past.
