From Exeter College to Public Art for Exeter

Aylwyn Bowen – Commercial Artist

Popularly known for his public artworks across Exeter, Aylwyn gives a colourful and entertaining talk on his fifty years working as a designer/illustrator for many local as well as national companies. From his winning designs for RAMM’s 150th Anniversary year to his latest work for Exeter Science Park… and now Topsham, he’ll take us through many of the stories that lie behind them.

Aylwyn’s professional career, since studying at Exeter College of Art in the 1970s, spans the use of traditional skills and more recent digital art techniques, all of which he’ll present on screen. The talk will conclude with a brief look at the impact AI might have on routine illustration work.
