Nello Ghezzo was a much-loved Topsham restauranteur who sadly died in 1999. He had a dream that the whole community might come together for a gigantic communal meal.
In Nello’s memory, every other year, tables stretch end to end from Grove House along Fore Street, around the Quay and along Ferry Road, past the Underway and the Passage House Inn. People pile out of their houses with chairs, cushions and picnic baskets. It’s a magical event that brings everyone together and raises money for good causes.
This year’s Longest Table has been postponed till 2021. So see you all next year!
