We look forward to welcoming Shelley Tobin in September to speak about the Victorian Dressmaker. Shelly works at RAMM in Exeter, as Assistant Curator (Dress & Textiles), which she combines with her role as National Trust Costume Curator at Killerton House. She has worked in the museum/heritage sector for over 25 years, specialising in textiles and dress, as a curator, author and dress historian.
Entry is free although donations are very welcome. Doors open at 10.45am with coffee available and the lecture starts at 11.30am or earlier if all seats are taken. Light lunches, in the garden if the weather is fine, will be available after the lecture. The shop is also open before and after the lecture and is proving very popular, with a range of attractive cards and gifts for all occasions.
