Following on from the hugely successful 2020 Lockdown Fox book and cards by local artist and Topsham Museum volunteer Phil Keen, we are delighted to be offering his new card for 2021. ‘Christmas Ferry’ shows the Lockdown Fox waiting hopefully, for the foot ferry on the opposite side of the river, looking over the water towards a festive scene of Topsham. Also visible are some hoofprints which feature in Phil’s latest book, ‘When the Devil Came to Topsham’; a story set in 1855 about mysterious hoof-like prints which appeared after a heavy snowfall one night (and available to purchase here). For anyone familiar with local girl Katie McCabe who sailed single-handed around the UK this year, her boat Falanda can be seen too!
The greeting inside reads ‘With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year’.
Sold in single packs of 5 cards for £3.50 or 3 packs for £10.
The cards are available at the Museum during opening hours: Mon-Thurs 2-5 pm until 31st October. You may also buy them at our stall in Matthews Hall in November. And Rachel Nichols has kindly agreed to sell them from her door again at 21 Victoria Road, Topsham (after15th October). Or you can buy them from our online shop on this site https://shop.topshammuseum.org.uk/product-category/topsham-christmas-cards/
