The Museum closes this year on Wednesday 31st October 2018 apart from three special days in November to commemorate the end of the World War One. Thursday November 15th Christmas Market at Matthews Hall 10 am-12pm

We will be bringing lots of wonderful gift items from the Museum Shop. Along with cakes, savouries and preserves there will be a Pre-Loved Stall and Raffle. Other stall holders will also be selling a variety of gifts, so do invite friends and neighbours to do their Christmas shopping and chat over a coffee and mince…

Winter Opening in November

The Museum will be open for extra days during November from 2.00-4.00pm on the following dates: Sunday 4th  November: Whole Museum open including the tea room and shop. Friday 9th  November: WW1 Exhibition and old kitchen only, entrance-main front door. Sunday 11th:November: WW1 Exhibition, old kitchen, tea room and shop open, entrance-main front door.

Fish: Family Activity Day

26 October 2018 Time: 10.30 – 12.30 or 1.30-3.30 Cost: None but donations welcome Suitable for: Accompanied Children  5-11 years 

Boatbuilding Success!

Boatbuilding sessions for children were held at the museum on Friday 24 August . The sculptor James Lake, who specialises in sculpture using recycled materials, helped children to build their own model boats.
